Whether you have legal obligations as a landlord or are a homeowner who wants to keep your property safe and functional, electrical testing is an important part of property maintenance. Here, we outline some common tests our electrical specialists carry out for our clients in Liverpool and the North West.
As MCS-accredited solar installers and skilled electricians, we offer a wide range of electrical services, including:
One of the most common electrical tests we carry out in the Liverpool area is PAT testing. PAT stands for ‘Portable Appliance Testing’. This means visual and electrical inspections of household appliances, ensuring that your toasters, vacuum cleaners and microwaves are safe to use. This is an excellent preventative measure for dangers such as electrical fires and electric shocks. Once the test is complete, we will issue you an electrical certificate.
As MCS-accredited solar installers, our electrical services include servicing and fault diagnosis for rooftop solar installations in Manchester and the surrounding areas. We ensure solar panel installations work correctly and safely; if they don't, we identify and fix the fault. You can rely on our solar installation experts for fast, reliable solutions.
EICR stands for ‘Electrical Installation Condition Report’. It is a comprehensive test that assesses a wide variety of different components, from consumer units and EV car charger installations to individual switches and sockets. It ensures all permanent electrical installations are safe and functional, reducing the risk of electric shocks and other hazards. It is a legal requirement for landlords to renew these certificates every twelve months.
Depending on the grade of your fire alarm system, you may be required to have it tested at regular intervals. Our electricians offer a swift, meticulous inspection service, checking smoke detectors, heat detectors, sounders and more to ensure everything is in full working order.
